The Autel EV Diagnostics Upgrade Kit adds EV battery pack analysis capability to compatible Autel MaxiSYS tablets. The core of the kit is the EVDiag Box — a dedicated hardware module that connects between your MaxiSYS tablet and the vehicle's high-voltage battery system using vehicle-specific adapters. This is not a generic OBD scan — the EVDiag Box performs deep battery pack diagnostics including State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) analysis on specific electric vehicles.

Compatible Tablets

The EVDiag Box is compatible with the following Autel MaxiSYS tablets:

• MaxiSYS Ultra
• MaxiSYS Ultra ADAS
• MaxiSYS MS919
• MaxiSYS MS909

The EVDiag Box connects to a MaxiFlash VCI or VCMI device, which then communicates with the tablet. If you own one of the above tablets and already have the VCI or VCMI, this kit is your path to EV battery diagnostics without purchasing an entirely separate EV-specific tool.

Note: This kit does NOT include a tablet or VCI. It is an add-on to your existing MaxiSYS setup.

What You Can Do With This Kit

Battery Pack Analysis

The primary function of the EVDiag Box is high-voltage battery pack diagnostics. Using vehicle-specific adapters and/or OBD connection (where supported), you can:

• Read and erase EV-specific fault codes from the battery management system
• View live high-voltage battery data
• State of Charge (SOC) analysis — determine actual usable charge level
• State of Health (SOH) analysis — assess true battery pack condition versus original capacity

SOC and SOH data is what shops need for accurate pre-purchase inspections, warranty claims, and customer transparency on battery degradation. Generic OBD tools cannot access this level of battery data on most EVs — the EVDiag Box with vehicle-specific adapters is how you get there.

Connection Methods

Depending on the vehicle, diagnostics can be performed:

• Via OBD port — for supported functions on compatible vehicles
• Via jumpers and special cables (Breakout Leads) — for deeper battery pack access where OBD access is limited

Which Vehicles Are Covered

The included adapters specifically support BMW, Tesla, and Volkswagen EVs. Coverage is vehicle-specific — the EVDiag Box is not a universal EV battery tester. Verify that your target vehicles are supported before purchasing.

Downloading EV Software

EV diagnostic software is not pre-loaded on all MaxiSYS tablets. After receiving the EVDiag Box, you will need to download the EV software upgrade through your tablet's update manager.
