Autel MA600CORE2 Package — Second-Generation Core Upgrade for the MA600 ADAS System
The MA600CORE2 is a comprehensive package built around the second-generation MA600 portable ADAS calibration system at $9,485. This is Autel's CORE2 configuration — positioned as the updated platform for the MA600 frame that improves the laser leveling process and calibration workflow over the original MA600 system.
The MA600 CORE2 Flyer (available as a download from Autel's site) covers the specific differences between the original MA600 and the CORE2 generation. Based on Autel's product documentation, the CORE2 refinements focus on the frame's laser system and the centering/squaring process, which is the most time-consuming part of any ADAS calibration workflow.
The MA600 CORE2 Platform
The MA600 is Autel's portable ADAS calibration frame — collapsible aluminum construction that folds down for transport and sets up in a calibration bay. The CORE2 designation refers to the updated hardware generation. Key specifications:
- Frame Dimensions (WxDxH): 2510mm (98.82") x 714mm (28.11") x 1480–2105mm (58.27–82.87")
- Pattern Board Size: 1360mm x 960mm (53.54" x 37.80")
- Crossbar Length: 2510mm (98.82")
- Crossbar Height Adjustment: 350mm–950mm (13.78"–37.40")
- Pattern Board Height Adjustment: 1000mm–1600mm (39.37"–62.99")
- Net Weight: 100.8 lbs total (Base: 53.6 lbs | Column + Crossbar: 47.2 lbs)
- Laser Class: Class 2

Laser-Assisted Vehicle Centering and Squaring
The most critical — and most time-consuming — part of ADAS camera calibration is properly centering and squaring the vehicle to the calibration target. Off by even a small amount, and the calibration result is wrong. The MA600 uses a 2-line centering laser and 5-line alignment laser to give the technician a clear, measurable reference for vehicle positioning. The CORE2 improvements refine this process to achieve millimeter-level accuracy more quickly than the first-generation system.
This matters in a production shop environment. A faster setup process means more calibrations per day, which directly affects whether ADAS calibration is profitable work or a bottleneck.
Compatible MaxiSYS Tablets
The MA600CORE2 requires a compatible MaxiSYS tablet with ADAS software (check if tablet is included in this specific package configuration). Compatible tablet models include: MS906BT, MS906TS, MS908, MS908P, MS908S, MS908SP, MSELITE, MSADAS. The MSADAS tablet includes ADAS software; all others require a one-time software upgrade purchase. Tablets with previously expired ADAS software activations are not compatible and require a fresh upgrade.
Supported ADAS Functions
The MA600 platform supports the following ADAS calibration types (specific coverage depends on which expansion packages are included):
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW) — Forward-facing camera calibration for lane-keeping systems
- Around View Monitor (AVM) — 360-degree camera systems (with AVM expansion)
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD) — Rear corner camera/radar systems (with expansion)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) — Forward radar calibration (with radar expansion)
- Night Vision (NV) — Infrared camera calibration (with NV expansion)
Where MA600CORE2 Sits in the Product Lineup
At $9,485, the MA600CORE2 is priced near the base MA600 system ($9,600 MSRP at Autel). It represents a complete CORE2 generation configuration — suitable for shops starting their ADAS calibration program with the most current MA600 hardware. For expanded vehicle coverage from day one, compare against the MAS20 All Systems 2.0 package at $23,485.
