The Autel KOMATSU12 is a 12-pin diagnostic adapter that extends the Autel MaxiSYS MS909CV commercial vehicle diagnostic system to cover Komatsu engines on off-highway construction and agriculture equipment. If your shop or fleet services Komatsu-powered excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, or agricultural machinery, this adapter is the physical interface that allows the MS909CV to communicate with those machines.

Required Hardware
This adapter requires the following Autel equipment to function:
- MaxiSYS MS909CV tablet — the 9.7-inch commercial vehicle diagnostic tablet with MFVCI/J2534/RP1210 capability
- MaxiSYS MS909CV VCI — the wireless vehicle communication interface
- Current software updates — both the tablet and VCI must have the latest applicable software loaded for Komatsu coverage to be active
The KOMATSU12 adapter does not function with standard passenger vehicle Autel tablets. It is specifically designed for the MS909CV commercial vehicle platform.
Practical Notes for Fleet and Construction Equipment Shops
Off-highway equipment diagnostics are significantly different from on-road commercial vehicles. Komatsu machines use proprietary communication protocols through the 12-pin port, and without the correct adapter, even a capable commercial vehicle scan tool cannot establish communication. The KOMATSU12 handles the physical and protocol interface, provided your MS909CV is running the correct software version.
Before purchasing, verify that Komatsu software coverage is available on your MS909CV subscription and that your tablet and VCI firmware are current. Coverage depth — fault codes, live data, actuation tests — varies by equipment model year and machine type.
