G-BOX2 vs G-BOX3
The G-BOX3 (our SKU: G-Box3, $150) is the current generation adapter with confirmed manufacturer support. The G-BOX3 adds BMW DME/DDE ISN Reading and Writing in Boot Mode, faster AKL password calculations (4x to 8x faster versus G-BOX2), and eliminates repeated EIS insertions during the Mercedes AKL process. If you are purchasing new, the G-BOX3 is the recommended option. The G-BOX2 may be appropriate if you need a spare or replacement for an existing G-BOX2-based workflow.
